For twenty years the game was simple. If you wanted customers to find you, you ranked on Google. Now a growing share of buyers don’t search at all. They open ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity, type “what’s the best invoicing software for a small contractor?” and take whatever names come back.
If your brand isn’t in that answer, you’re invisible at the exact moment someone is deciding. That is the problem Loudmink was built to solve, and it is one of the projects we are proudest of at Vector.
What is Loudmink?
Loudmink is a platform that shows a business whether AI systems are recommending it, and then helps it earn its place in those answers. It is used by marketing teams and agencies in industries as different as insurance, solar installation, lending and beauty studios.
You can’t fix what you can’t see
When we started, most businesses had no idea what AI was saying about them. A few had tried asking ChatGPT or Claude themselves and got a different answer each time. Nobody had a reliable way to track it, and even fewer understood where those answers came from.
That second point turned out to be the real issue. AI assistants don’t simply read your website and decide you’re good. They draw on what other people say about your category, and for most businesses that meant:
- Reddit threads they had never read
- YouTube reviews they weren’t featured in
- Comparison sites and aggregators that had never heard of them
One Melbourne insurance agency put it plainly: their competitors were showing up in ChatGPT, they simply weren’t, and they had no idea how to change that.
A system that sees, finds, creates and holds
Loudmink is built around four stages, each feeding the next.
- See. The platform runs the questions a buyer would ask across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Grok, and records who gets recommended. Just as important, it identifies which pages each engine trusts to form that answer. Suddenly a business can see that, say, a single Reddit thread and a YouTube video are shaping most of the recommendations in its category.
- Find. Loudmink then pinpoints the specific threads and articles that carry the most weight and ranks them by influence, giving a short list of places worth showing up.
- Create. It produces the content that helps a business earn its place: guides, draft articles and community replies, built from the sources the engines rely on. Every piece is fact-checked before the user sees it, and nothing goes live until a human approves it.
- Hold. AI answers shift constantly, so the platform keeps re-checking and flags when a position is slipping, letting a business respond before it becomes a problem.
The takeaway
The rules for being found are changing faster than most businesses can keep up with. Building Loudmink taught us that the answer isn’t just watching what AI says. It’s understanding where those answers come from, and giving people a clear, controlled way to change them.
