Privacy policy
How we handle the information you share with us.
Who we are
Vector AI is an AI engineering consultancy at Rue de l’Arquebuse 22, 1204 Genève, Switzerland. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
For anything in this policy, write to hello@vector-ai.ch.
What this policy covers
This website, the discovery calls booked through it, and the correspondence that follows if you contact us. The client websites we link to from our work are run by those companies under their own policies.
What this site collects
Nothing on its own, unless you allow analytics. There is no visitor account, no sign-in and no form on this site that sends data to us. To reach us you either book a discovery call, which runs through Cal.com as described below, or write to us by email.
Booking a discovery call
Our booking page embeds a scheduler run by Cal.com. When you book, Cal.com collects the details you enter, such as your name, email address and anything you add about your project, confirms the appointment and passes those details to us. The call itself takes place on Google Meet.
Cal.com handles this on our behalf, under Cal.com’s privacy policy. If you would rather not use it, email us and we will find a time directly.
Cookies and tracking
We set one cookie that remembers which language you chose, and one that remembers your answer to our cookie banner. We run no advertising tags and no social media trackers, and nothing about your visit is shared with an advertising network.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, where visitors arrive from, and on what kind of device and browser, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) that last up to two years, does not store your IP address, and keeps the data for at most 14 months. If you decline, it is not loaded at all. You can change your answer at any time under Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
The one exception is the booking page: the Cal.com scheduler it loads may store small pieces of data in your browser that it needs to work, such as your time zone. Nothing of the kind is loaded anywhere else on the site.
Server logs
Like any website, this one is served by a hosting provider that records technical request data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Those logs exist to deliver the site and keep it secure, they are kept for a short period by the provider, and we do not use them to identify you.
When you book or write to us
A booking or an email gives us your name and email address, and whatever you choose to include, such as your company and a description of your problem. We use it to hold the call, to answer you, to prepare a proposal and to carry out work you engage us for.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, once we are discussing a project, taking steps at your request before a contract.
Who else can see it
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It is handled by the providers who run our scheduling (Cal.com), video calls (Google Meet), email and, if you accept it, analytics (Google Analytics), and who host this site, acting for us under contract, and by professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.
Where it is held
Our providers process data in Switzerland, the European Union and the United States. Where data leaves Switzerland and the EU, we rely on providers that commit to the safeguards Swiss and EU data protection law requires for such transfers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while we have an active or prospective relationship with you, and for up to 24 months after our last exchange. Records tied to work we have invoiced are kept for ten years, as Swiss law requires of business records. You can ask us to delete your correspondence sooner.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to stop using it, and ask for a copy in a portable form. These rights come from the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, and from the GDPR if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
Write to hello@vector-ai.ch and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, or to the supervisory authority where you live.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, we will update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
